Lovely Smith-Orr Homestead Wedding Photography

If I had to choose one word to describe Grant & Diana I would pick faithful.  I loved being at their wedding, with their friends and family, and soaking in their love for each other and for God.  From their vows to their complete devotion to each other, it’s clear to see that there is something different about these two.  I think it has everything to do with that faith.

By the time I arrived at the Smith-Orr Homestead for Grant and Diana’s wedding, the details were being set out.  I walked around with my ca

mera photographing all of them and grew more and more impressed with Diana’s craftsmanship.  Diana and her family had handmade so many of the details for the day, including the bridesmaids’ jewelry, centerpieces, and charming wooden signs placed around the grounds.   I was honored to share in Grant & Diana’s day and am equally honored to share it with you.

And here are the amazing vendors who helped make it possible:

I, too, was honored to be part of this beautiful wedding.  Diana is our niece.  We have watched her grow into the beautiful woman she is today.  This wedding was one of the most faith-filled weddings I have been to in many years.  The vows that Grant and Diana wrote to each other were written from the heart and brought tears to my eyes.  Grant’s answering “ABSOLUTELY” with such enthusiasm touched my heart.  Although the entire day was a beautiful memory, the moment I most cherish is when Grant and Diana went to light the unity candle.  As they stood there arms around each other,, their parents went up and stood behind them showing love, support and unity for their children.  When the couple turned around, the couple and their parents embraced and formed another symbol of unity, a circle, where they and their children shared prayers and the deep love of parents for their children and children for their parents.  In that moment, I felt the presence of God in a way I have felt it only a few other times in my life.  God truly blessed the marriage of His children and those fortunate enough to be present on July 23, 2011, to witness the events of this glorious day.
