Pretty Summer Wedding in Akron | Mike & Jerri

You may recall seeing Mike and Jerri’s photographs from their engagement session at Millcreek Park and Riverside Gardens.  It was hard to beat that beautiful day…but they succeeded!  The weather was amazing and their wedding was just as wonderful.  Jerri and Mike were married at St. Matthew’s Church in Akron.  We photographed their touching ceremony and then traveled to the beautiful Chenoweth Golf Course for the reception where the newlyweds and their guests celebrated and danced the night away.

Throughout the entire day, Jerri’s laugh was contagious!  She smiled and truly beamed at Mike and all of their family and friends.  You can see their happiness in their photos and I love it.  Mike & Jerri, I wish you both the best.  May you always be filled with the joy you felt that day!

Gorgeous Vineyard Wedding at Gervasi | Ryan & Kelly

When I met Kelly I was immediately struck by her confidence and sweet personality.  When she said the wedding would be at Gervasi in Canton, I was thrilled, a sweet couple at such a wonderful venue!  I feel grateful to be a vendor so often for Gervasi Vineyard because every time we work there, the weddings are amazing.  Every. Single. Time.  The staff is attentive.  Th

e planners are organized and always on top of the details of the day.  And the food is consistently delicious.

Ryan & Kelly’s wedding at Gervasi was no exception.  It was gorgeous.  They chose my favorite ceremony site, under the trees, for their wedding.  The sunlight always streams perfectly through the leaves providing the perfect shade and incredible light.  From here, you can view the lake and the vineyard (and of course the happy couple!)   I can’t think of many more beautiful places to marry your best friend.

After the ceremony, the guests filled the pavilion.  When Ryan & Kelly entered the room all eyes were on this lovely couple.  They and their guests danced, and laughed, and even sang.  There was no doubt of the joy that filled the air because the smiles were everywhere.  Their friends and family surrounded them and shared their happiness until it was time to say goodbye.

The vendors who helped make it all possible:

DJ: Beach Boyz
Flowers: Barbato Flowers

Lovely Canton Wedding | Steve & Ashton

When Steve and Ashton came into the studio, I was immediately struck by the sweet way they related to one another.  We chatted about their wishes and I learned they were searching for coverage for the wedding ceremony and formal photos only.  I think this is such a great way to make sure that your most important moments are captured if you’re not looking for a full package.  I always love what we are able to capture for our clients no matter how many hours we are there.

Steve and Ashton selected the beautiful St. Michael’s in Canton, Ohio for their wedding.  The light streamed in the many windows and perfectly lit their ceremony.  It couldn’t have been more beautiful inside the church or out in the courtyard.  It was wonderful that Steve and Ashton made sure to leave lots of time for their photographs.  They scheduled at least half an hour for photos of just the two of them (my favorites from the day!)  This gave us the perfect amount of time to get some amazing images.  I hope you agree.  Take a look:

Joel & Christie’s Raintree Country Club Wedding

They grew up in the same small town and, of course, knew each other.  Christie may have even had her eye on him for a while in high school…but nothing ever came of it.  They lost touch for a while, but when they both arrived at a mutual friend’s OSU party, I doubt either one expected more than fun and football.  However, after running into each other several times, Joel & Christie began dating and soon fell in love.  We were fortunate enough to be part of their wedding just a couple weeks ago.

When I arrived at Christie’s mother’s home, Christie was already up and starting the preparations for the big day.  She was surrounded by family, and the smells of coffee and hairspray filled the house.  As more and more of the bridesmaids arrived, the excited chatter permeated the home as well, and I knew how much everyone was looking forward to celebrating with this couple.  Meanwhile, the guys filled their morning with golf and breakfast until it was time for them too to get dressed and meet for the ceremony.

It was one of those strange Ohio days where you aren’t quite sure if it’s going to rain or not.  The forecast had changed about 10 times that week and continued to fluctuate all morning.  By the time the guests arrived, though, the threat of any raindrops had passed, and the sky even opened up a little during the ceremony to reveal the blue we haven’t seen much this winter.  After the ceremony we headed out to capture the bridal party on the course.  The black bridesmaids’ dresses and pops of purple and teal that Christie and Joel selected looked perfect against the backdrop of the green.

By the time we headed inside, everyone was ready to welcome the new couple into the reception, and the party began.  The guests danced and danced, and by the amount of laughter I saw, I am certain everyone had an amazing time.

Thank you, Joel & Christie, for trusting us to be a part of your day.  Best of luck and many blessings to both of you and your family.
