Rob and Olivia’s Gervasi Engagement Session

Rob and Oliva selected the grounds of Gervasi Vineyard and the Canton Garden Center for their engagement photography.  We began with hair and makeup that is included in the session (and adds a lot of fun!) at Rob’s parents and then headed out for the session.

We traveled to Gervasi where the weather was beautiful and sunny. Rob and Olivia both love the vineyard so we were sure to get plenty of photos among the grape leaves.  I will never tire of watching the way the sun steams through the vines and trees.  Add in a lovely couple, and the scene couldn’t be more beautiful as you can see for yourself.  After walking the grounds for a while, and capturing some amazing moments, we headed to the Garden Center where the flowers were in bloom. The garden has several little vignettes throughout the grounds and just about anywhere you look, it’s breathtaking.  My favorite photos this time came from the bridge and as the sun was going down, it set the perfect backdrop for these two.

Take a look and see what you think.  Which is your favorite location for an engagement session?  I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you to Rob and Olivia for selecting us for your day. We are looking forward to seeing you again as the wedding approaches.

Canal Fulton Spring Engagement Session | Ian & Meagan

It only takes a quick glance at these pictures to see that love was definitely in full bloom for Ian and Meagan’s engagement photo shoot! The vibrant colors of spring were popping up all over the place on this sunny day, making the scenery a perfect backdrop for an engagement session.

We started out the day at the couple’s lovely home in Canal Fulton, Ohio. As Ian and Meagan posed and smiled excitedly on their spacious front porch, you could really feel the anticipation they had for their upcoming nuptials. The big day, by the way, is September 26 at Brookside Farms.

After some engagement photography at their house, we moved the session to a nearby park. Here, we captured the essence of true love as Ian and Meagan strolled along the banks of the canal hand in hand. More pictures of the couple were taken standing next to some rustic-looking structures, giving the shots a very woodsy, romantic feel. Ian and Meagan were both naturals, and did a fantastic job posing for these pictures. They were both so relaxed and happy, and we got some excellent shots of them cuddling on the park’s benches. One of my favorite photos is of Ian and Meagan embracing on the bridge under the towering trees.  We stopped for a quick wardrobe change, and we moved the session to the downtown area and took advantage of the beautiful old buildings in town.

I’d like to point out that Meagan’s stunning hair and makeup was done by Haley Litzinger, and the cost was included in the engagement session. Thank you so much for the wonderful day, Ian and Meagan! We are honored that you chose us to share this exciting time with you. We’re so glad that you found each other and wish you true joy and happiness in the many years to come!

Terren and Kelly’s Chilly Engagement Session at the Gorge

You can usually tell a lot about a soon to be groom’s personality once you’ve heard the proposal story.  Kelly must be a pretty creative, thoughtful guy because gifting his girlfriend with a new jersey supporting her favorite football team is a pretty fun idea.  Wait, you didn’t think that was it did you?  Well, it took her a minute to put it all together but once Terren saw that it wasn’t just any jersey, but rather a custom one sporting her soon-to-be MARRIED name, she realized that she had just been proposed to! That move was almost as cute as these two love birds during their engagement session!  It was a chilly evening at the Gorge Metro Park but these two smiled the whole way through and we got some great shots.  The blue sky, grey undertones of the grass, and bare trees actually created a gorgeous natural back drop for this couple’s photos.  Terren and Kelley, I hope your engagement is a wonderful time as you prepare for your big day….We’ll see you there!

Akron Anniversary Photographs – Jeremy & Christy

If you’ve worked with me for your wedding or even some portraits you will probably recognize these faces.  Well, one of them anyway.  As many of you know, Christy is my second shooter, right hand woman, HUGE helper, fabulous photographer, amazing friend, and so much more.  If you’ve worked with her I’m sure you will agree…she’s wonderful to work with.  And honestly, I’m not sure I could run this business without her.

A few months back, her husband Jeremy contacted me for Anniversary Photos to mark their ten years together.  I couldn’t be honored more to take these for them.  They are a beautiful couple in every sense of the word.  I am so glad to have them and their family in our lives.
