Brandon & Chelsea’s Cozy Winter Wedding in Akron

Chelsea and Brandon share a sincere love that made their wedding day uniquely precious. The Memorial Chapel in Akron was sunny and warm despite the freezing cold temperatures outside as this cute couple said their vows surrounded by the light of loving family and friends.  One of the things that really stood out about Chelsea and Brandon was their undeniable joy, not just about their wedding day, but even more about the marriage they were entering into. There was no doubt that this couple had prepared their hearts for what was in store after all the celebrating was over and their journey through life together began.

After a meaningful ceremony in Akron, we headed to Uniontown to the cozy and inviting Uniontown Park Community Center to begin the evening’s festivities. So many great little details were planned to make this night a whole lot of fun.  The hot chocolate bar, elaborate cookies, personalized mugs, festive lights, and cupcakes galore made everyone want to settle in and enjoy the party. A lot of touching stories were recounted, blessings were given, and a general sense of gratitude for all that had been experienced in life so far topped off a very special night.  I think all the adorable kids happily running around best reflected the tone of the day – contentment, joy, and pure love. We hope you experience bits and pieces of all those things everyday of your life together!

Don & Jackie’s Winter Wedding in Cleveland

Well, who could have known that Don and Jackie’s wedding day would be the snowiest one of the year? Slowly, but surely, we made our way from southeast Akron to a few beautiful destinations in Cleveland.  Grace Church in Middleburg Heights was beautifully decorated for Christmas and Don and Jackie shared a meaningful ceremony which set the tone for the celebration later that evening.

Following a long & slushy drive, we took a few quick shots at the festive Arcade in downtown Cleveland.  It’s always a gorgeous place to photograph but all the decorations made it especially pretty for this couple’s Christmas time wedding. Despite the wind, snow, and cold, this couple was up for anything and their fun-loving friends kept them going with lots of laughs and goofing around.

After making it through downtown, the party made it’s way to the Cleveland Sheraton.  Once there, the couple and their friends warmed up in the indoor pool area– and had a lot of fun doing so! Thankfully, no one actually ended up in the pool….though I bet that hot tub was looking pretty nice! 🙂 Guests who braved the weather were greeted with delicious hor dourves and drinks which warmed them right up for the party to follow!  It was a perfect way to spend a snowy northeast Ohio winter day and we are pretty sure everyone agrees that Don and Jackie were worth coming out for!  We wish you both all the best as you start your life together-may your love always keep your hearts warm as it did on your memorable wedding day.

Rick & Heather’s Intimate Wedding at Gervasi Vineyard

Rick and Heather’s intimate wedding celebration at Gervasi Vineyard perfectly reflected the relationship they shared. There was no doubt that this long awaited day had been planned to express their sincere love for each other. It was obvious that they were invested in their children and they did a beautiful job incorporating each one into the special elements of the day. This was truly a family celebration and the love shared went way beyond the happy couple.

Before the ceremony, Rick was beaming and couldn’t hide his excitement over marrying the woman who had become his best friend. It was clear Heather was smitten, despite the fact that this hard core Michigan fan was marrying a die-hard Ohio State fan! I really enjoyed capturing all the unique moments of this special day. From the anticipation of the first look at the bride, to the tender ceremony where they made their vows, this couple thoroughly enjoyed every minute of their wedding day. There was beauty all around the gorgeous grounds of the vineyards, but most memorable was the joy expressed between the bride and the groom. Rick and Heather definitely show that love is strong…strong enough to unite a Buckeye and a Wolverine. I’m sure many wonderful experiences await you and yours in the years to come!

Gray & Yellow Vineyard Wedding

When I met Katie I knew immediately that her calm demeanor was unlike most brides I have worked with.  She’s a woman that knows what she wants and carries herself with dignity and class.  That couldn’t have been more true on the day of her wedding.  She was calm and collected and ready to marry the man she loves.

Micah too but in a different way.  He describes himself as the “mature one” of his friends.  And, I think he’s right. 😉  He has a quiet and relaxed attitude that combines with Katie and makes them great to be around.

Their wedding was at Gervasi Vineyard in Canton and the weather was PERFECT.  They chose to see each other before the ceremony (which I love!) and we were able to capture some amazing photographs of their first look.  There is just something about the moment when the bride and groom see each other that I adore…and I love it so much more when they get to have that moment alone (well, alone with a photographer or two.)

My favorite highlights:

  • The yellow and gray details…just beautiful
  • A bridal party that kept me laughing all day
  • Micah and Katie seeing each other and capturing their “First Look”
  • …And I’m pretty sure I can still hear everyone singing Call Me Maybe while tearing up the dance floor
