Jim & Jessica’s Kent State Engagement Session

Jim proposed this past summer in Soana Island, Punta Cana and of course Jessica said yes.  They are getting married at Gervasi Vineyard next fall and I can’t wait to be there to capture it.  If it’s anything like their engagement session, the photographs will be gorgeous.

As proud Kent State graduates, Jim & Jessica knew their engagement session should be there.  They met at Mugs so we started the session with the bar’s awning in the background.  As we walked from place to place, it was fun hearing them both relive moments from their college days.

The weather was cold and rainy but you’d never know it from these photos.  See for yourself…

Ben & Desiree’s Portage Lakes Engagement Session

Ben and Desiree met in their high school in gym class.  Having spent a little time with them, it seems like the perfect place for them to have met.  Both are athletes full of a strong competitive spirit.  Don’t let them fool you though…they may be competitive but with each other they are also tender.  They laugh (a lot) and just have fun together.

During college (and even for now) they had a long distance relationship but were together in the summers on the Portage Lakes.  That seemed like the perfect place for a meaningful engagement session.  We met a couple weekends ago on a cold Saturday afternoon.  Despite the cold, the session was beautiful.

Beautiful Brecksville Engagement Session

It takes all of about 5 minutes with Milko & Gordana to really like them.  They are kind and fun and the type of people you just want to be around.  Both of them grew up in Europe and came to America as children and their story is amazing.  I was so honored to play this small part in capturing it.

We had a great time in Brecksville Metro Park and I am so looking forward to their wedding in just a couple weeks.

David & Rachel – Laughter-Filled Engagement Session

Both David and Rachel enjoy the outdoors so when they went out hiking last June, Rachel thought little of it.  David however had a plan.  After a couple hours of trails, they stopped for a photo in front of a waterfall.  Rachel set up the self timer and ran over next to David and he kissed her o

n the cheek just as the camera went off.  One more photo he asked.  This time though, David was down on one knee proposing as the camera clicked.

They chose downtown Akron and Stan Hywet for their engagement session.  I had a great time searching out backdrops, avoiding the picketers, walking the gardens, and just getting to know these two.  They will be married in July at Stan Hywet and I am privileged to be a part of it.  I hope their lives are filled with as much laughter as our session was.
