Almost Five

My sister-in-law and her adorable almost five family came by for a family/maternity/kid session all rolled up in one.  It was the first session in my new “location” (more about this soon!) and I loved it.  Green grass and trees everywhere.  The only challenge is finding enough shade to keep away that half sunlit half shade look that we photographers hate.

Little Lexi (Lexie?) will be born any day now and I can’t wait to meet her.  But it was fun to capture their last few days of just the four of them.

Luke wasn’t thrilled about smiling…but still managed to look adorable.  He was calm and pleasant but the only grin we could get out of him was a cheese!

A Beautiful Family Helping a Beautiful Family

A year ago a Northeastern Ohio family had their lives changed forever.  Jeff, Jen, and two of their three girls were riding in their minivan when they crashed.  Jen and the girls were fine but Jeff was injured terribly as is still working hard at recovering.  He cannot walk and is still suffering from brain damage.  I believe with all my heart that (with God’s healing) Jeff will someday return to the man he was but for now this family has many needs.  You can read much more about their story and find out how to help here.  I promise you they are deserving in so many ways.  I met Jen a few months back and I can’t tell you the inspiration she is even through all of this.

In August, there was an auction held to help Jeff and Jen pay off their home.  This would lift a huge weight off their shoulders and ensure they could stay there.

The family below won an Amy Lyn gift card at the auction and I have been so blessed to have met them.  They are a sweet family with an adorably sweet daughter.  I loved spending time with them and I am so glad  to have been able to photograph this time in their lives.  And the best part?  We were able to capture these moments and help Jeff and Jen at the same time.

A Cutie in Red Pajamas

A quick share of my adorable nephew’s Christmas photos.  His mama and dada live across the globe most of the time so having him here is a real treat.  Could he be any cuter?

Little T’s Baptism

I had met this Tom & Lena under the worst of circumstances.  They were pregnant with their first but the doctors had found a condition that wouldn’t allow him to survive outside of the womb.  I was blessed to be there when Chandler was born and photograph his short time with his family.  Tom and Lena were grieving the loss of their precious boy, but they have such a strength about them that I will never forget.

When Tom and Lena called recently to photograph their new daughter’s baptism, I couldn’t have been more thrilled.  Little T. is just perfect and I loved being there to see and capture such a joyous event.  Here are just a few of the photographs I was able to capture.
