Engagement & Wedding Photography | Matt & Sara

Since Matt & Sara both live and work in Florida, I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting or photographing them until just a few days before their wedding.  We met at the Secrest Arboretum at the Wooster branch of Ohio State where they first met one another.  I had never been there and was surprised at how beautiful it is.

Isn’t that tree in the last two photos amazing?  It’s called a Rising Sun Redbud.  You may just see one or two on my property soon.  I loved it immediately and Matt was so kind to photograph the name and send it to me so I could find one.

Matt and Sara’s intimate wedding celebration took place on the beautiful grounds of Gervasi Vineyards.  Since they live out of town, this was a perfect place for friends and family to gather for the long awaited marriage of this sweet couple.  Sara’s job is to coordinate large events at a prestigious golf club in Florida so you might imagine that she was anxious about everything running perfectly smooth, but just the opposite was true.  She has learned that enjoying her day and the people she loves most is the way to really make things perfect!  It was a privilege to spend the day with Matt and Sarah and experience the joy they have in each other and their families.  They both have perspective on the truly important things in life and this depth was reflected in the atmosphere and details of the day.  Especially meaningful was the hand sewn wedding gown that Sarah and her mom worked on together.  It fit this beautiful bride perfectly and sparkled all the way down the aisle. We definitely laughed a lot during this celebration and no doubt the guests enjoyed themselves as well!  The Ohio State themed decorations, delicious dinner, array of desserts, and dancing made for a beautiful evening.  Matt and Sarah, as you begin your journey as a married couple, we hope you feel the deep sense of support and love from your loved ones just as they have felt it from you through the years.
